Handling of the affected MacBook Pro onboard

According to the announcement of EASA SIB 2017-1, regarding the recall of portable electronic devices due to issues with batteries especially the recall of MacBook Pro units supplied by Apple Inc. between September 2015 and February 2017 and only selected product serial numbers are affected.

As the safety is our first priority, BANGKOK AIRWAYS RECOMMEND passenger who carrying the 15-inch Apple MacBook Pro laptop, sold between September 2015 to February 2017 that is assessed that it falls within the scope of applicability of EASA SIB 2017-01 to verify whether your product is affected by accessing to the manufacturer's website at https://support.apple.com/th-th/15-inch-macbook-pro-battery-recall.

Passenger are requested to present the proof that the affected MacBook Pro is fixed to our check-in staffs otherwise the device must be switched off or not be charged throughout the flight.
