Bangkok Airways to launch two new routes; Bangkok-Hat Yai and Samui-Hat Yai

The company will also resume more of its popular domestic and international routes in the third quarter of 2022

Bangkok / 7 June 2022 – Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited announces the launch of two new routes which are Bangkok-Hat Yai (roundtrip) and Samui-Hat Yai (roundtrip), starting from July 16, 2022 onwards. The airline also announces the resumption of its domestic and international routes including Samui-Chiang Mai (roundtrip), from July 1, Bangkok-Maldives (roundtrip), from July 22, Bangkok-Siem Reap (roundtrip) from August 1, Bangkok-Danang (roundtrip) from September 1, and Samui-Hong Kong (roundtrip) from September 1.

The soon-to-launch Bangkok-Hat Yai services will operate two flights daily, using an Airbus A319 aircraft. The first outbound flight, PG431, departs from Suvarnabhumi Airport at 08.25 hrs. and arrives at Hat Yai Airport at 09.55 hrs. The inbound flight PG432 departs from Hat Yai Airport at 10.45 hrs. and arrives at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 12.15 hrs. The second outbound flight, PG433, departs from Suvarnabhumi Airport at 13.00 hrs. and arrives at Hat Yai Airport at 14.30 hrs. Return flight PG434 departs from Hat Yai Airport at 15.20 hrs. and arrives at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 16.50 hrs.

The soon-to-launch Samui-Hat Yai services will operate three flights weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays), using an ATR72-600 aircraft. The outbound flight, PG411, departs from Samui Airport at 10.30 hrs. and arrives at Hat Yai Airport at 11.40 hrs. The inbound flight PG412 departs from Hat Yai Airport at 12.10 hrs. and arrives at Samui Airport at 13.20 hrs.

Flight frequency for the soon-to-resume flights are as follows;

• The Samui-Chiang Mai services will operate one flight daily. 
• The Bangkok-Maldives services will operate four flights weekly (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays)
• The Bangkok-Siem Reap services will operate one flight daily
• The Bangkok-Danang services will operate one flight daily
• The Samui-Hong Kong services will operate four flights weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays)

Additionally, to better facilitate our passengers and the increasing travel demand, Bangkok Airways plans to increase flight frequency in the following routes;

• Samui-Singapore route will increase from three flights weekly to one flight daily starting from July 1, 2022, and will be adjusted to two flights daily from September 1, 2022.
• Bangkok-Samui route will increase from 98 flights weekly to 101 flights weekly starting from July 16, 2022, and Bangkok-Samui (one-way) route will increase from 98 flights weekly to 105 flights weekly starting from September 1, 2022
• Bangkok-Phuket route will increase from three flights daily to four flights daily starting from August 1, 2022
• Bangkok-Sukhothai route will increase from one flight daily to two flights daily starting from August 1, 2022.
• Bangkok-Lampang route will increase from two flights daily to three flights daily starting from August 1, 2022.
• Bangkok-Phnom Penh route will increase from three flights daily to four flights daily starting from August 1, 2022.
•  Bangkok-Krabi route will increase from one flight daily to two flights daily starting from September 1, 2022.
• Samui-Phuket route will increase from two flights daily to three flights daily starting from September 1, 2022.
