Koh Samui – Recently, Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited, together with W Koh Samui and Kiatnakin Phatra Financial Group, organized the “Bangkok Airways Boutique Gastronomy X Chef Pom – Taste of Samui” to promote Samui tourism. The event was joined by many distinguished guests including Mr. Chulin Kocharoen, Vice President – Marketing of Bangkok Airways (2nd from right), Mr. Kritsana Kaewthamrong, Deputy Governor for Domestic Marketing, Tourism Authority of Thailand (2nd from left), Mr. Noppadol Khaomali, Deputy District Chief of Administrative Affairs Division, Office of the Government Officials of Koh Samui District (1st from left), M.L. Kwantip Devakula (1st from right) and lucky winners who participated in a campaign on Bangkok Airways Facebook page.
The Bangkok Airways Boutique Gastronomy X Chef Pom –Taste of Samui was held to promote Samui tourism by having Chef Pom (M.L. Kwantip Devakula), a well-known chef together with a Master Chef Thailand judge select and prepare some of Samui unique ingredients for this exclusive event. The event also supported the concept initiated by the Tourism Authority of Thailand in promoting coconuts, which is one of the main products of Koh Samui, and of course well-known amongst the tourists. To build on, and compliment the concept, Chef Pom created some of her menus using coconuts, such as her taste of Samui menu which is a curry puff stuffed with southern-style spicy paste including seafood that is served with cucumber slices and onions in vinegar jelly. There were also many more delicious menus being offered to the guests that were presented by some of the best local restaurants on Koh Samui.
