Bangkok Airways organizes the groundbreaking ceremony for the new classroom building of Watbundarikkaram School, Koh Samui

 

Koh Samui, Surat Thani - Recently, Bangkok Airways Company Limited led by Mr. Ittipol Boonaree, Senior Director – Airport (Second row 9th from left) organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the new 3-storey classroom building of Wat Buntharikaram School. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Prasit Chamaplin, Deputy Managing Director for Ground Operation and Ground Services Director of BAGS Ground Services Co., Ltd, (Second row 8th from right), Mr. Monchai Wutthipong, Vice Director of Suratthani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 (Second row 8th from left), Ms. Kitiya Kaoean, Director of Wat Buntarikaram School (Second row Center) and Mr. Morakot Srichan, Chairman of Basic Education Board (Second row 2nd from right)

Wat Buntharikaram School is located on Koh Samui, Surat Thani and is an affiliated school under the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC). At present, the school has about 400 students (kindergarten-grade 6) in the care of 30 teachers. One of the most Challenging problems for this school is the condition of the classroom building. The building is dilapidated and is in need of repair. Therefore, Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited decided to fund and construct the new 3-storey classroom building for Wat Bunthikaram School. The aim of this support is to create educational opportunities and improve the quality of life for these students. This project is expected to be completed by March 2020.

Bangkok Airways will continue its support and be involved in CSR activities, especially in Community Sustainability Projects, as part of the airline’s core missions.
