The third program of the Bangkok Airways Boutique Series 2019
Lampang / 8 July 2019 – Recently, Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited led by Mr.Prote Setsuwan, Vice President – Marketing organized (Center) the “Bangkok Airways Lampang Half Marathon”, the third running program of the Bangkok Airways Boutique Series 2019 at Klaeng Nakorn Public Park, Lampang. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Somkiat Tantragul, Vice Governor of Lampang Province (2nd from Left) with Dr. Kittipoom Namvong (Ph.D), Provincial Governor of Lampang Province (1st from Left), Mr.Anan Sridang, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Lampang office (1st from Right) and Mr.Detanan Kumsuan, Maewa National Park Superintendent (2nd from Right).
“Bangkok Airways Lampang Half Marathon” was organized to promote Lampang tourism and to ensure that participants recognize the importance of healthy lifestyle. Bangkok Airways Lampang Half Marathon offers runners with 3 running categories which are; Fun Run of 5 kilometers, Mini Marathon of 10 kilometers, and Half-Marathon of 21 kilometers. All participants could enjoy breath-taking scenery of Lampang with the beauty of local charms along the running route. Additionally, Bangkok Airways in collaboration with stupidnoobmacc, the renowned Thai illustrator behind “BabyBoy” character, offer runners a signature boutique touch using iconic symbols of Lampang to integrate into the design on running shirts, medals and trophies for this year.
One of the highlights in this program is “Care the Bear: Change the Climate Change” which is a partnership project between Bangkok Airways and The Stock Exchange of Thailand. The campaign aims to reduce carbon emission from organizing events which Bangkok Airways put the initiative forward at Lampang Half Marathon by doing waste segregation, reducing the use of plastic and foam as well as re-using event decorations and materials.
Bangkok Airways Lampang Half-Marathon is the third event out of six planned programs of the Bangkok Airways Boutique Series 2019. The remaining programs are the “Phuket Half Marathon” on 4 August 2019, “Chiang Rai Marathon” on 15 September 2019 and “Lanna Half Marathon” on 3 November 2019.
