One of Seven Running Programs of the Bangkok Airways Boutique Series 2018
KRABI – Recently, Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited organized the “Bangkok Airways Krabi Half Marathon” at Thara Park of Krabi province with Acting Sub Lt. Apinan Puakpong, Vice Governor of Krabi, preside over the opening ceremony with Ms. Nawarat Wannatrong, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility for Bangkok Airways, and attended by over 3,500 Thai and international runners from around the world.
“Bangkok Airways Krabi Half Marathon” is one of Seven Running Programs of the "Bangkok Airways Boutique Series 2018". The event was organized to promote tourism and sports in Krabi and allowed runners the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of Krabi city and the vibrant lifestyle of the Paknam Krabi area as well as Bangkok Airways’ signature boutique touch. The event was divided into 3 categories, the Fun Run and Mini Marathons of 5 and 10 kilometers and the half marathon of 21 kilometers. Over 3,500 runners from Thailand and 24 other countries participated in the activity.
Bangkok Airways also took the opportunity to give back to the society, handing out 73 pairs of sneakers to students of Municipal 3 Tha Daeng School and Municipal 1 Talad Kao School under the “Shoes for Kids” campaign. The campaign has launched online via www.teelakow.com, giving the opportunity for runners to take part to donate a pair of shoes to kids living in the province where the running races take place.
Bangkok Airways Krabi Half-Marathon is the second event out of seven planned programs of the Bangkok Airways Boutique Series 2018. The remaining programs are the “Samui Half Marathon” in Koh Samui, Surat Thani will be the location on 10 June 2018, “Lampang Half Marathon” in Lampang will be held on 24 June 2018, “Phuket Half Marathon” in Phuket will be on 5 August 2018, and the “Chiang Rai Marathon” in Chiang Rai will be on 16 September 2018, with the “Lanna Half Marathon” in Chiang Mai following on 11 November 2018”.
