Trat Airport

Trat Airport is the third Public airport owned and operated by Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited, located on a 1,400 rai of land, at No. 99, Moo 3, Tambon Tasome, Ampur Khao Saming, Trat Province. The Airport, surrounded by scenic rubber plantations and pineapple orchards, is open for service from 06.00 hours to 22.00 hours.

The Airport can accommodate airlines operating domestic and international flights by offering landing and take off services, at rate announced by Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand. Air traffic control service is available throughout operating hours. International passengers can process custom clearance and immigration formalities within the airport terminal. The runway, 1,800 meters long and 45 meters wide, has safety zones that complies with ICAO requirements.

Trat Airport was officially opened on 31 March 2003 but started to service the first flight, operated by a 70-seat ATR72-200 aircraft, on 18 April 2003 after a temporary airport operating license was granted.

The Airport is conveniently located 15 kilometers from ferry landing to Koh Chang, 35 kilometers from Trat city center and 70 kilometers from the next province of Chantaburi.

In addition, Trat Airport is certified Carbon Footprint for Organization in 2017 among 4 other areas including Samui Airport (certified in 2016 and 2017), Sukhothai Airport, Bangkok Airways Offices, and Hangar Facilities which demonstrates the airline’s awareness and commitment towards global warming and climate change issues.
