Self-Service Bag Drop

Simply print your bag tags at the self-service kiosk and tag your own checked baggage, you can drop off your checked baggage at self-service bag drop without queuing at the airport.

Location of self-service bag drop

• At Suvarnabhumi airport, Passenger Terminal level 4, check-in row D,E and also available at rows B,C,J and R. Self-service bag drop are open from 12 hours until 1 hour before flight departure.
• At Don Mueang airport, Passenger terminal 2 level 3, Check-in counter 14B, 14N, 14P. Self-service bag drop are open from 2 hour until 1 hour before flight departure.
• Hat Yai airport, baggage check point area near Bangkok Airways check-in counters. Self-service bag drop are open from 2 hour until 1 hour before flight departure.

How does the self-service bag drop work?

1. Check-in for your flight online, automated check-in or at self-service kiosk at the airport.
2. Print bag tag at self-service kiosk and attach the tag to your baggage.
3. Go to self-service bag drop.
4. Scan the barcode of your boarding pass.
5. Place your bag on the conveyor belt.
6. Scan the bag tag with the handheld scanner and follow the instructions shown on screen.
7. Your baggage starts to move along the conveyor belt.
   Remark : For Hat Yai airport, drop off your self tagging bag with airport security agent at baggage screening point. Ensure you present claim tag to verify tag identification.
8. A claim tag will be printed out for your checked baggage. Please retain this receipt until you have collected your bags at your destination airport.

Conditions of Self-Service Bag Drop

• Passengers who have checked-in for their flight via self-service check-in (online, kiosk or automated check-in), and have their boarding passes.
• You can only check your own baggage. Please place one bag at a time on the belt when using the service.
• Self-service baggage drop is allowed only for normal suitcases and baggage weight should be under free-checked baggage allowance. Click here for checked baggage allowance and information.
• Self-service bag drop is not available for (please contact our passenger service agent at the airport),
  • Prohibited items, dangerous goods, pets, baby strollers, golf bags, perishable items, large-sized baggage, overweight baggage, fragile items and special baggage. Please see the information for special baggage and dangerous goods.
  • Passengers required to pay excess baggage charges when checking in their baggage.
