Sukhothai Airport

Sukhothai Airport is built on 1,018 rai of land in Ampur Sawankaloke, Sukhothai Province. Construction of the Airport started in 1992, was completed in 1996 and opened to service the first flight, operated by 70-seat ATR72-500 aircraft, on 12 April 1996.

In addition, Sukhothai Airport is certified Carbon Footprint for Organization in 2017 among 4 other areas including Samui Airport (certified in 2016 and 2017), Trat Airport, Bangkok Airways Offices, and Hangar Facilities which demonstrates the airline’s awareness and commitment towards global warming and climate change issues.
