Checked Baggage

  • Economy Class : Maximum weight allowance is 20 kilograms for adult and child / 10 kilograms for infant.
  • Blue Ribbon Class (Business Class) : Maximum weight allowance is 30 kilograms for adult and child / 10 kilograms for infant.
  • Excess Baggage Rate Charge :
    • Domestic : THB 80 per kilograms, per sector will be applied (effective from 1 March 2013 onwards). 
    • International: Below zonal rate per portion of travel will be applied (effective from 01 March 2013 onwards)

  • As per directive from AOT, one checked baggage maximum weight is 32 kilograms. If baggage weight exceeds 32 kilograms per one piece, the baggage must be re-packed.

EXCEPTIONAL BAGGAGE

SPORTING EQUIPMENTS

Sports equipments are included in passenger checked baggage allowance, any exceed weight resulting from such inclusion shall be assessed at the New Excess Charge Rate above (effective 1 March 2013 onward).

Bicycle

Due to type and limitation of aircrafts, the dimension of bicycle required should be,

  • ATR (70 seats) is 50x100x50 centimeter
  • Airbus319 (144 seats) is 145x160x110 centimeter
  • Airbus320 (160 seats) is 145x160x110 centimeter

Bicycle must be collapsible and suitably packed. Please advanced notice 24 hours prior to departure time at reservation center 1771 or reservation@bangkokair.com.

GOLF SET

1 golf set (1 golf bag including 1 pair of golf shoes) is allowed per passenger. If total weight is not included in normal checked baggage allowance, for the first 15 kilograms the charge shall be equal to the applicable charge for 6 kilograms of excess baggage charge, any weight in excess of 15 kilograms shall be as normal excess baggage. If included in the checked baggage allowance, any overweight resulting from such inclusion shall be assessed at the above special charge or the normal excess baggage charge whichever is less.

SURFBOARDING

Surfboarding shall not be included in the checked baggage allowance and shall be assessed. One board not exceeding 109 inches (277 centimeters). Surfboard is not acceptable on AT7, while maximum of 3 boards is acceptable on A319 and A320.

SCUBA EQUIPMENT

You are allowed to take one suitable packed scuba diving set of not more than one of each of the following items in checked baggage;

  • Empty scuba tank (Compressed air/gas tank must be empty.)
  • Scuba regulator
  • Tank harness
  • Tank pressure gauge
  • Mask
  • Knife
  • Spear gun (Spear guns must be unloaded with spear packed separately.)
  • Safety vest
