Located within the Kad Dhara Shopping Village is Fujian, Dhara Dhevi's renowned Chinese restaurant. Housed in a two-story mansion built in a typically Sino-Portuguese style dating back to the mid-19th century; its interior is graced with priceless objets d'art. An elegant central staircase leads to an upstairs dining room and tiled veranda where cool breezes fill the room.
Fujian is The Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai's Chinese restaurant. At its head is Chinese-born chef whose legendary dim sum is served each day at lunch in customary bamboo steamers on large, circular tables. In the evening, the atmosphere of Fujian seamlessly moves from that of a bygone era to take on a more upbeat, contemporary mood.
In lieu of the Chinese 'family style' meal, portions are served individually on the finest bone China. A gustation Super Menu offers miniature portions of the menu's signature dishes, and those who love their wines can select from a cellar containing over 80 different labels.
Though the restaurant takes its name from the prosperous Chinese province on China's eastern seaboard, the menu offers an abundance of Chinese regional cooking styles, while not omitting classic dishes such as Peking Duck, or the more spicy cuisine from Sichuan province.
